"Eclipse (98-02) is a two hour long album comprising of mostly synth driven music. I wanted to set it apart from Phobia as I don't like repeating myself. I think I did a pretty good job of that. The songs are also more approachable than Phobia being less experimental. Throughout the development of Eclipse I kept changing it. For a long time it was almost three hours, then it was about 45 minutes, then it settled at about 2 hours and thirty minutes for a while then going to an hour and seventeen than finally settling on about 2 hours. 'Back to This Place' and 'If You Want Me' were written in the summer of 2024 and were never intended for public release but I liked them enough to release them and I had been playing them live for a while. Not Dead Yet stems from a demo made during Phobia as well. The ambient tracks stem from a series of jams which can be found on o8 i e 9 efatt5lhd1 (except Inside). They only exist because I was bored and wanted to try something different. Inside was originally meant for a soundtrack which only two of the tracks made were used. Those probably won't see release as by having it used in the short film the film festival takes the rights (The remixes of Leech, In Your Head and Out Right were also proposed for the soundtrack). Eclipse was the first track that was recorded with this album in mind. The Singles Blood Sweat and Tears and Bleed Out are inspired by Depeche Mode and 90s Oingo Boingo. Early on I knew I wanted to use uncommon instruments like the Mellotron and Accordion. The CP-80 and CP-70 are also used throughout the album as they have for the past four projects. Something to Say almost didn't make it onto the final tracklist. But after adding some parts I decided to replace a song called Hopes and Prayers of a Fool which will be redone at a later point. Leech might be my favorite song on the album. I think it's just because I don't write songs like it that often. I usually tend to not like my slower songs. Cosmophobia is a prime example of that. In the Bandcamp version of the album I have included seven bonus tracks. Remixes of Leech, In Your Head and Out Right. As well as Demos for Leech, Bleed Out, and In Your Head". Eclipse will be available on Youtube, Bandcamp and Audiomack on March 3rd 2026.
