Actively involved with the alternative writing community for 20 years, we accumulated a lot of printed matter. We rode in on the tails of the mimeograph era and through the heyday of xeroxed zines, it was an amazing time and we ate it up. With TapRoot Reviews, we wound up as a particularly strong locus for publishers looking to network and get their zines and chapbooks out - quite literally 1000s of these gems flowed into our our PO box every year. We're working on an inventory, and plan to post shelf-lists of what's for sale here.
IF ANY LIBRARY, ARCHIVE, OR COLLECTOR IS INTERESTED IN ACQUIRING THE ENTIRE ARCHIVE, PLEASE CONTACT US
While we're working on our shelflist, you can get a taste of what's there, based on the reviews we published TapRoot Reviews:
The online reviews include about half of what we were able to get to (issues 1-6, out of 10), and we were only able to review about 10% of what we received... in short, the archive includes a metric shit-ton of work, and a unique cross-section of independent publishing and literary history.
