Manthara

My hapless companions, welcome back. I hope you all enjoyed the little glimpse of Sita that I discovered. I recovered the next page for you while floating down the river one day. It was almost as if it were destiny that I would encounter such threatening thoughts if I turned to my left. This was a discovery I was overjoyed to have in my set because she, like me, is a villain if I've ever seen one.

"That wicked little boy will be no more. Since the day that he hit my back with those pesky sandbag arrows I vowed I would get my revenge. Rama is the absolute bane of my existence and I would love nothing more than to destroy his precious and perfect life. All I needed was a vessel to help follow through with my plan for revenge. I just so happened to have the perfect person right in my grasp, Queen Kaikeyi. This stupid woman had forgotten that the King promised her 2 boons, but I have not. She was so easy to control. Her mind had become one-track on making sure her son got to the top.

Her feeble mind was easy to control if I planted ideas and fantasies of Bharata as the heir. The only thing that was in our way was the idiotic King, but no worries, I had my ways. As she was already my puppet created through rage and hatred as well, Queen Kaikeyi took my advice and used her boons to get Bharata is rightful spot on the throne and Rama out into the wild. My heart had never been more full than watching Rama sulk into the forest, his posse of Sita and Lakshamana trailing behind him. Even though the throne was not exactly mine, I felt as if I had the whole world under my control! That little rat of a boy Rama was nothing but a speck of dirt under my shoe! I can't wait for Bharata's reaction when he learns that he is king. "

It means so much that you all have stuck around to the very end. I just thrive off of this strife and misfortune and it seems as if some of you do as well. See you in the next installment from our unlucky victim in the Burn Book of India!

(I know the word count is low but i was hoping through your feedback i would be able to add more on, i just hit a writing block wall in the process of creating her story)

Author's Note: For this story I tried to portray a bit of the background surrounding Manthara. I was always confused as to where her hatred for Rama came from so when I found out he was a bit of a bully to her it all made sense. I mean pent up anger on her side was bound to seep out at some point and it just so happened to in the Ramayana when Rama was going to inherit the throne if his father passed. My version of this is once again a confession type story. I tried to show how deep this hatred the Manthara had ran and then how she chose to deal with it. I made her a even more of a villain talking about manipulation and power hungry for Bharata.
