BunkVerse is an attendance management and bunk-planning application designed to help students manage attendance, subjects, timetables, and related information. We respect your privacy and are committed to being transparent about how information is handled.
1. Information We Collect
BunkVerse does not directly collect personal information such as:
• Name
• Email address
• Phone number
• Contacts
• Location
The app stores BunkVerse information locally on your device, which may include:
• Subjects and timetable
• Attendance records
• Semester dates
• User settings and preferences
• Bunk-related information calculated from your attendance data
This information normally remains on your device unless you manually export it or choose to use the optional ZUMI AI feature.
2. Local Storage
Attendance and other BunkVerse app data is stored locally on your device. BunkVerse does not require a user account and does not maintain a personal database containing your attendance records.
If you uninstall BunkVerse, locally stored data may be permanently deleted unless you have created a backup.
3. ZUMI AI Assistant
BunkVerse includes an optional AI assistant called ZUMI, which is disabled until you choose to enable it.
When you enable and use ZUMI, relevant BunkVerse information may be transmitted over the internet to the services required to generate the AI response. Depending on your question, this may include:
• Your question to ZUMI
• Subject names and attendance percentages
• Attendance records, used bunks, remaining bunks, and available bunks
• Timetable and semester information
• Monthly attendance information
• Other BunkVerse information required to answer your question
ZUMI is designed to use only BunkVerse information supplied with the current request and does not receive unrelated information from your device. ZUMI requires an internet connection; if unavailable, ZUMI cannot process your request. If you do not enable or use ZUMI, your BunkVerse attendance data is not sent to the ZUMI AI service.
4. ZUMI AI Processing
ZUMI uses a third-party AI service provided by Google through the Gemini API to generate responses. The general process is:
BunkVerse → ZUMI backend service → Google Gemini → ZUMI response → BunkVerse
The Gemini API may process information sent to it according to Google's applicable terms and privacy policies. BunkVerse does not intentionally use ZUMI conversations to create a personal profile of the user, and the developer does not intentionally use ZUMI requests to identify individual users.
5. ZUMI Memory & Chat History
ZUMI does not have persistent conversational memory; each ZUMI request is processed independently. ZUMI does not have access to previous conversations unless information from a previous conversation is explicitly included in a new request.
BunkVerse does not intentionally maintain or store ZUMI chat history as part of the app's normal operation. However, requests sent to third-party services may be subject to those services' own processing, logging, retention, and privacy practices.
6. Backup & Sharing
BunkVerse allows you to export your app data as a CSV file, created only when you choose to export your data. You may share the exported file using other applications or services, such as:
• Messaging applications
• Cloud storage
• Other file-sharing applications
BunkVerse does not receive, store, or access files that you choose to export and share. Backup and restore functionality is intended to allow you to manage your BunkVerse data.
7. Internet Usage
BunkVerse can operate without an internet connection for its core attendance-management features. Internet access may be used for:
• Displaying advertisements
• Operating the optional ZUMI AI feature
8. Advertising
BunkVerse uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. AdMob may collect and process information such as device identifiers, approximate location, advertising information, and ad interaction data. This information is handled by Google according to its applicable privacy policies.

9. Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information. BunkVerse may transmit information to third-party service providers when required for features that you choose to use:
• Google AdMob: Used for displaying advertisements.
• Google Gemini: Used to provide AI responses through the optional ZUMI feature.
When ZUMI is used, only information relevant to the current BunkVerse request is intended to be sent. We do not intentionally share unrelated personal information with the ZUMI AI service.
10. Children's Privacy
BunkVerse is intended for students aged 13 years and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
11. Your Control
You have control over your BunkVerse data and optional features. You can:
• Choose whether to enable ZUMI or stop using it at any time
• Edit, delete, or reset your BunkVerse data
• Export your BunkVerse data or uninstall the app
If you do not want your BunkVerse information transmitted to the AI service, you can choose not to enable or use ZUMI.
12. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect information handled by BunkVerse. The ZUMI AI API credentials are stored on the backend service and are not intentionally included in the Android application. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated in the future to reflect changes to BunkVerse, its features, or applicable requirements. Any changes will be reflected on this page. We recommend checking this page periodically for updates.
