BunkTimer
In-flight crew rest, planned in seconds
Long-haul flights run on rest. BunkTimer takes the arithmetic out of splitting it, so you can plan who sleeps when, share it with the crew, and wake up on time.
Plan the rest your way. Enter the rest window and BunkTimer divides it for you. With three crew, it's split equally, one rest each. With four or more, crew are organised into rest groups that take turns. Choose 2 to 4 rest periods, set a handover gap between them, and keep the split equal or fine-tune each period with a slider.
Built for flight decks and cabins. Add pilots by rank (Captain, First Officer, Second Officer) or cabin crew by position (Purser, L1 to R4). BunkTimer handles anything from a three-pilot flight deck to a full cabin of twenty-plus crew, with a clear count of who's resting and who's on active duty in every period.
See the whole rest at a glance. A colour-coded timeline shows each group's rest periods and handovers. A large UTC clock stays pinned to the top of the screen, with who's resting right now and how much rest is left.
Every time zone covered. Enter departure and arrival airports by IATA or ICAO code (JFK or KJFK, both work). See rest times in UTC, departure local or arrival local time, with daylight saving taken into account. Add takeoff time and flight time to see your ETA in both local and UTC.
Never miss a handover. Set a wake-up alarm on any rest period, 10 to 30 minutes before it ends. On iOS 26 these are real system alarms that ring through silent mode and Focus. If the plan changes, the alarms move with it.
Share it with the crew. Export the plan as a clean one-page PDF with the schedule, timeline and crew by rest group, ready to print, message or brief from.
Private and offline. BunkTimer works without a connection, which is exactly where you'll need it. Your crew and flight details stay on your device.
BunkTimer is a planning aid. Always follow your operator's flight time limitations and rest requirements.
