Account Information: Name, email address, and profile picture when you sign in via Google or Email/Password.
Attendance Data: Subject names, attendance logs, and related academic data you enter into the app.
Device Information: Basic device information collected by Google AdMob for serving advertisements.
Usage Data: Anonymous usage analytics collected by Firebase to improve app performance.
We use the collected information to:
Provide and maintain the Bunk AI service
Sync your attendance data across multiple devices via Firebase Firestore
Authenticate your identity securely via Firebase Authentication
Generate AI-powered insights using your attendance data via the Gemini API

Your attendance data is stored securely in Google Firebase Firestore, protected by Firebase Security Rules that ensure only you can access your own data. We use industry-standard encryption for all data in transit and at rest. Your data is stored on Google's secure servers.
Bunk AI uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
Firebase Authentication – for secure sign-in (Firebase Privacy Policy)
Firebase Firestore – for cloud data storage
Google Sign-In – for authentication with Google accounts
Google Gemini API – for AI-powered attendance insights (Gemini Terms)
Google AdMob – for displaying advertisements (Google Privacy Policy)
Bunk AI displays advertisements provided by Google AdMob. AdMob may use device identifiers and usage data to serve personalized ads. You can opt out of personalized advertising by visiting your device's ad settings. For more information, visit Google's Ads Policy.
When you use AI features (Bunk Planner, Semester Predictor, Ask AttendAI), your attendance data is sent to Google's Gemini API to generate responses. This data is processed in accordance with Google's Gemini API Terms of Service. We do not store AI conversation history on our servers.
We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can delete your account and all associated data at any time by signing out and contacting us at the email below. Guest mode data is stored only on your local device and is deleted when you uninstall the app.
Bunk AI is intended for college students and is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately.
You have the right to:
Access the personal data we hold about you
Request correction of inaccurate data
Request deletion of your data
Withdraw consent at any time by deleting your account
