These terms are the agreement between you and Bumpline, the operator of the app "Bumpline" ("we", "us"), about your use of the app. By installing or using the app you accept them. They are short, because the app is simple; please read them.
Bumpline is a pregnancy diary for iPhone. It calculates your term from the dating you enter, keeps a weekly photo of your bump, and turns those photos into a timelapse film. It also offers a set of tools — checklists, appointments, a weight log, a name list, a movement counter and a contraction timer — for keeping your own notes.
Bumpline is not a medical device, and nothing in it is medical advice.
The app shows you the numbers you entered and nothing else. It does not know whether a weight is high or low, whether a number of movements is enough, or whether contractions mean it is time to go — and it will never tell you. Those questions are for your midwife, doctor or maternity unit, and if you are worried about anything in your pregnancy, contact them, not the app.
The term the app calculates is arithmetic on the dates you gave it. It is as accurate as those dates, and it is not a diagnosis of anything.
Everything you put into Bumpline — dates, photos, notes, figures — is yours. We claim no rights over it, we do not receive a copy of it (see the Privacy Policy), and you can take all of it out at any time with Export everything, free of charge and whether or not you subscribe.
Removing a photo inside the app removes it from the diary only. Bumpline never deletes anything from your Photos library.
We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use Bumpline on Apple devices you own or control, under the App Store terms that apply to every app. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer or redistribute the app, or use it in a way that breaks the law.
Some features are part of Bumpline Full, an auto-renewing subscription sold through the App Store:
the timelapse film export, and
the tools: checklists, appointments, weight log, name list, movement counter and contraction timer.
Everything else — your term, your weekly photos, the widgets, the reminder, the export of your own data and the careful exit — is free, and stays free.
Terms and prices. Two options are offered: yearly and weekly. The price for your region is shown in the app before you subscribe, always next to the period it buys. The yearly plan includes a free trial of 7 days for Apple Accounts that have not used one before; the weekly plan has no trial.
Renewal. Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you subscribe, or at the end of the free trial. The subscription renews automatically for the same period at the same price unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Apple charges the renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
Cancelling. You can cancel at any time in your iPhone's Settings › [your name] › Subscriptions, or by asking Apple. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Deleting the app does not cancel the subscription.
Refunds. Payments are handled by Apple, and refunds are requested from Apple at reportaproblem.apple.com. We cannot issue refunds ourselves.
What you already wrote. If your subscription ends, everything you entered into the tools stays visible in the app and stays in your export. What stops is adding new entries. A movement count or contraction series that is already running can be finished.
Price changes. If a price changes, Apple will tell you in advance and ask for your consent before any renewal at the new price.
Bumpline sends one kind of notification: a weekly reminder to take your photo, on the day and at the time you chose, and only while your pregnancy is set as active in the app. It does not send reminders about your due date, your subscription, or anything else.
We may update the app, add or remove features, or stop offering it. If a feature you are paying for is removed, you can cancel and, where the law requires it, claim a refund from Apple for the unused period. We will not remove your ability to export your own data.
Bumpline is provided as is. We do our best to make it accurate and reliable, but we do not promise that it will be free of errors or available at all times. In particular, the term and due date the app shows are calculations from the dates you entered and are not a substitute for the dating your clinician gives you.
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app — including any decision you make on the basis of figures shown in it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
You can stop using Bumpline at any time by deleting it. We may end your licence if you breach these terms. In either case section 3 still applies: your content remains yours.
If we change these terms, the new version will be published at this address with a new date at the top, and the app will tell you inside itself where the change affects you. Continuing to use the app after that means you accept the new terms.
