BULLI PS

CREATIVE ARTS ONLINE

A FAREWELL NOTE

To the students at Bulli Public,

It has been an absolute privilege getting to know all of you and your families. I have loved every minute being your resident Performing Arts, Science, ICT and Jill-of-all trades RFF teacher for the last two years. What an incredible opportunity it has been to extend my creative wings while doing what I love best, teaching!

I very clearly remember my first few weeks here and how so very many of you reluctantly participated in drama lessons, super self-conscious of what others might be thinking. Getting up on stage, stretching your imagination and being vulnerable is no easy feat!

As I watch you in these last weeks of the school year, I am so incredibly proud of how you have all jumped in the deep end of the performing arts world and grown so much as artists. Teaching never was so fulfilling and I feel so lucky I got to share in the enthusiasm and joy you gave during my lessons.

I will miss each one of you and wish we had the chance to do the end of year show that I dreamed of. I know you will continue to create and express yourselves through the arts and I am looking forward to the day when I next get to sit in an audience watching something amazing that you have been a part of making.

All the best,

Ms Lam

The transition from normal classroom teaching and learning to the 'learning from home' structure meant we had to very quickly overhaul and make our programs more accessible while learning completely new ways of delivering them. It has been incredibly heartwarming to see our students and families engaging enthusiastically and creatively while having fun with the creative arts activities we designed. Thank you for all the videos, photos and audio files you shared with us.
