The intended audience for this book promotion is high school students at Bullard High School who may be interested in the sport of rock climbing. You may not know it, but your librarian loves rock climbing and reads every book he can find on the topic. The books in this collection are some of his favorites.
Purpose
The purpose of this book promotion is to expose students to some of the most interesting stories about rock climbing, as well as to educate students on the history and culture of the sport. Bullard High School has many student rock climbers who climb both indoors and outside at local sites such as Metalmark, Yosemite, and Kings Canyon National Parks, but many students don't know about all the great books we have about the sport.
Theme
The primary themes are rock climbing, adventure, climbing safety, and the history and culture of climbing. This is a diverse collection containing fiction and non-fiction.
