Check back from time to time. This will be a long term project.

After getting the Florida Jeep back to Indy I was able to test drive it a bit and got it over to storage.
A few months later I was able to bring home the Wisconsin Jeep for parts after a job.
Mom's tried to persuade me to call them "Gator and Badger" to relieve some confusion.
Just a few days ago I pulled the Florida jeep out storage and brought it over to the garage, before long I'll be pulling it apart and getting to work. I did get anxious over the summer and threw some white paint on the front, just to see what it would look like.
Also, I've added a Parts Used and Needed page incase people are curious.

Got the opportunity to set up the workspace and did some inspections on the underside of the FC.
Frame
There's some corrosion damage to the frame. It looks like the frame had some repairs done at some point. Nothing too intimidating though. Cross members look like they were replaced at some point too.
Differentials
I took the opportunity to get some photos of the front and rear differentials, just to verify model numbers
Transmission
The transmission shifter linkage needs overhauled, the linkage has a lot of slop. I think I'll need some rubber bushings for it.
Steering
Steering is in need of overhaul too. I'll need to review the service manual, something does not look right. Plus there's a "steering stabilizer" that appears pretty after market.
Suspension
I'll have some modification to do to the suspension. The rear leaf springs and shackles don't line up how I think they should and are hitting the bumper. I'll need to measure the springs and see.
Engine
Engine compression is good! But, need to clean and paint it, replace the carb, replace the intake, replace the fuel pump and add back in the vacuum lines, drop the oil pan and look around and replace the zip-tie "fixtures" I keep finding.
Interior
The interior is pretty bare on this truck, hence the parts truck. a good amount of steel will have to be replaced. I'll be trying to use as little fiberglass and bondo as possible.
And there's the wiring... I have no idea how this truck ever ran.
