Report a Math Issue
If you find a calculation that gives a wrong answer, please tell us. Use the subject line "Math issue" so we see it fast. Include the exact inputs you entered, the result BuildX returned, the result you expected, and the reference (your own math, code chart, etc.). We take math accuracy seriously. A construction calculator that is wrong once is a calculator that gets uninstalled.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: How do I enter feet, inches, and fractions?
A: Tap the "ft" key, type the number of feet. Tap "in", type the number of inches. Tap the fraction key (a/b), type the numerator, then the denominator. Press "=" to commit.
Q: Why is there no subscription?
A: There isn't one. BuildX is a one-time purchase. Buy once, own forever, install on every device with the same Apple ID. No renewals, no upgrades behind paywalls, no monthly counters.
Q: Will you add electrical or plumbing modules?
A: Not in BuildX. BuildX is focused on carpentry and renovation. Adding electrical code or plumbing fixture math would dilute the product. If a separate Wire (electrician) or Pipe (plumber) app is something you'd buy, please email us.
Q: Does the IRC code check work in my country?
A: BuildX's stair check uses IRC R311.7 (United States residential code). Most international building codes are close, but exact compliance is your responsibility. If you'd like BuildX to support a specific local code variant, email us with the code reference.
Q: Does the app work offline?
A: Yes. BuildX works completely offline. No internet connection needed.
Q: I bought BuildX and switched phones. Do I have to pay again?
A: No. Sign into your new phone with the same Apple ID, install BuildX from the App Store, and it's already paid for.
Q: Can I get a refund?
A: Refunds are handled by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com to request one.
