Dr. David A. Shamma (Ayman) is a staff research scientist on the Carbon Neutrality team within the Human-Centered AI (HCAI) division at Toyota Research Institute (TRI). Dr. Shamma's research in human-computer interaction and AI aims at understanding people to build human-centered systems that enhance our environments, support decision-making tasks, and enrich our media interactions.
Before TRI, Dr. Shamma was a director of research at Yahoo and Flickr, a scientist at FX Palo Alto Laboratory (FXPAL), and held academic appointments at Centrum Wiskunde & Informatica (CWI), National University of Singapore, and NASA. He is a distinguished member of the ACM and a senior member of IEEE.
Dr. Shamma holds a Ph.D. in computer science from Northwestern University.
Omoju Miller is the Founder and CEO of Fimio, Inc, a Web3 Trust and Reputation company. In the past, she was Technical Advisor to the CEO at GitHub, spent time co-leading non-profit investment in Computer Science Education for Google, and served as a volunteer advisor to the Obama administration’s White House Presidential Innovation Fellows.
Omoju has expertise in the area of machine learning and computational intelligence.
Originally from Lagos, Nigeria, Omoju holds a doctoral degree in Computer Science Education from UC Berkeley.
