With GE, LLC., in need of new leadership after Mr. Devin’s exit, I believe that my values emphasizing emotional intelligence, collaboration, and cultural competence are what this company needs to remain a global success and transform corporate standards. By increasing our emotional intelligence, we will become better equipped to manage our emotions and successfully engage with both our clients and co-workers. Our focus on collaboration will build a communal spirit that encourages our social responsibility within this company and to the greater community, while our commitment to cultural sensitivity will allow us to build relationships that facilitate personal growth and maximize our business.
Before we can move forward under my new leadership, we must resolve the past issues GE, LLC has experienced. Discriminatory hiring practices and biases will not be tolerated. Focusing on my values will help eliminate these issues. We will be reviewing all recent hires and create new hiring guidelines that include an oversight committee to ensure equal opportunity. We will implement an open-door policy where feedback is welcomed and conflict resolution is an encouraged priority. To promote collaboration, we will have daily meetings with all levels of staff and rely on teams to manage projects. Additionally, we will hold seminars that educate employees on cultural competency and consult with a third-party to review all of GE, LLC’s practices to ensure we meet the cultural competency standards we strive to live up to.
Psychology has enabled me to make these goals, understanding the link between attitudes and behaviors. My studies in this field have enlightened me to the role of bias, how to challenge and discourage them, and the learning process. My mission goals are decided through my understanding of the necessity to dispel these deeply ingrained beliefs and the emotional intelligence skills needed to replace them. Additionally, my knowledge of motivation, positive reinforcement, and communication will direct the strategies I use to implement my goals. Combining my understanding of psychology, my ethical decision-making, and my dedication to diversity, equity, and inclusivity, GE, LLC will flourish, setting an example for other organizations to follow.
