1. Overview of the App
BugSigh is a local music and video audio-track player application. Its core functions operate solely on your device, and all data is stored locally on your device.
2. Information We Access
**The App does NOT collect any personally identifiable information.**
To provide core functionality, the App only accesses the following local data on your device. This data is NEVER uploaded to any server:
2.1 Local Data Accessed After Your Authorization
Audio files (music): Scan and play music files on your device. Stored only on your local device.
Video files (video audio tracks): Scan video files on your device to extract and play the audio tracks within them. Stored only on your local device.
Images (custom background image): Allow you to select a custom background image for the app theme. Stored only on your local device.
Playback history (recently played, favorites): Provide a personalized playback experience. Stored only in the local device database (Room).
App settings (theme, language, etc.): Save your preferences. Stored only on your local device.
Network storage information (SMB/NAS): If you configure network storage (e.g., NAS), the App reads media files from your specified storage for playback. The related server addresses and login credentials are stored only encrypted on your local device and are NEVER uploaded to any server.
In-app purchases: Some advanced features of the App are settled through Google Play. The payment process is completed by Google Play; the App does not collect or store any payment information (such as card numbers).
2.2 Permissions
The App requests and uses the following device permissions:
Read Storage Permission ( READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / READ_MEDIA_AUDIO / READ_MEDIA_IMAGES / READ_MEDIA_VIDEO ): To scan and read music files and video files on your device, and to read images you choose as a custom background. Among these, READ_MEDIA_VIDEO is used to scan video files and extract the audio tracks within them.
Foreground Service Permission ( FOREGROUND_SERVICE / FOREGROUND_SERVICE_MEDIA_PLAYBACK ): To maintain playback state while playing music in the background.
Wake Lock Permission ( WAKE_LOCK ): To prevent the device from going to sleep while music is playing.
Notification Permission ( POST_NOTIFICATIONS ): To display currently playing music information and playback controls in the notification bar.
3. Information We Do NOT Collect
The App will NOT engage in any of the following:
❌ Will NOT collect your name, email, phone number, or other personally identifiable information
❌ Will NOT collect your location information
❌ Will NOT access your contacts, text messages, or call logs
❌ Will NOT use the camera or microphone
❌ Will NOT send any data to external servers
❌ Does NOT contain any third-party advertising SDKs or analytics tools
❌ Does NOT perform any form of user tracking
❌ Does NOT share your data with any third parties
(Note: In-app purchases are handled by Google Play, and the App does not access your payment information; network storage credentials are stored only on your local device.)
4. Data Storage and Security
All music, video audio-track information and playback records are stored only locally on your device. The SMB/NAS server addresses and login credentials you configure are also stored only encrypted on your local device. You can delete all local data at any time by clearing data in Settings or uninstalling the App.
5. Children's Privacy
This app is designed for users aged 13 and above, and we do not intentionally collect personal information from children under 13.
6. Your Rights
Since the App does not collect your personal data, you do not need to request access, correction, or deletion of your data. You have full control over local data on your device.
