Hello Bug Room Parents,

My name is Jeanette Doerr and I’ll be teaching the pre-kindergarten Bug Room class at Word of Life Academy this year.

I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education with a minor in Early Childhood Education from the University of Nebraska-Kearney. I began my teaching career as a Kindergarten – 6th Grade long-term substitute teacher in Omaha, Nebraska prior to moving to the Denver area in the mid 1980’s. I was a “stay-at-home” Mom for several years and have spent the last twelve years back in the education field as a pre-school lead teacher, assistant teacher, substitute teacher and Bible Story teacher. I began at Word of Life Academy as a substitute teacher in February, 2015 then taught the kindergarten class for the 2015-2016 school year and was a substitute teacher again for the 2016-2017 school year.

I have three incredible children of my own who are all in their 20’s! My daughter, Erica, is married to my awesome son-in-law, Trey, and they live in Virginia. My “middle man”, Adam, graduated from Texas Christian University and works in Denver. My youngest child, Trevor, will be graduating from the University of Oklahoma.

I am looking forward to meeting you and thank you in advance for allowing me to guide your children as we journey. Get ready for a wonderful year together full of adventures and learning!
