Buffalo Skill Training Program
The Buffalo STP's mission is to develop and maintain high-end youth and high school hockey programs through individual skill development that benefits a team game. Buffalo STP provides an excellent opportunity for boys and girls to improve their hockey skills, strength, and athleticism in their home community.
Buffalo STP provides community-based individual skill development three times a year:
Spring Skills- Offers focused on-ice skating & skill development compatible for multi-sport athletes. Specifically focused on puck & stickhandling skills, spring skills' smaller numbers allows an excellent player-to-coach ratio.
Summer Training Program- Offers the most intense training at the community-based level. The 6-week program offers dedicated on-ice and off-ice curriculum designed for all BYHA and BHS hockey players to train like a pro. Weekly scrimmages with nearby communities allow players to see skills transferred to game situations.
Fall Clinics- A pre-season on-ice option that will help hockey players prepare for the upcoming BYHA or BHS tryouts and clinics. Position-focused forward and defensemen skills are utilized at upper levels. Fall clinics train the skills to help athletes stand out at their evaluations.
Bison Breakfast Club- New in 2019, B-B-C offers concentrated skill refinement for middle and high school skaters. Sessions focus on either stick & pucks skill or technical skating.
