This privacy policy applies to the Budget Map app (hereby referred to as the "Application") for mobile devices that was created by Pickle Juice Labs (hereby referred to as the "Service Provider") as a Freemium service. This service is provided "AS IS".
The Application does not collect, transmit, or store any personal or technical information from users beyond what is necessary for its basic functionality.
The Application does not automatically collect IP addresses, device identifiers, analytics data, or usage activity. It also does not track precise or approximate location.
Data Storage Clarification (Local Storage and AI):
Local Storage: All personal financial data, including transactions and account names, is stored locally on your device (using Hive). This data is never automatically uploaded to our servers or any third party.
Optional AI Feature: The AI Financial Assistant feature is opt-in. When you engage with the AI:
The Application generates a summarized, anonymized snapshot of your financial data (e.g., total income, spending breakdown, net worth).
This summary is sent temporarily to the Google Gemini API to generate personalized advice. No personally identifiable information (like account names or transaction details) is sent.
For certain optional features, the Application may request limited information that you provide voluntarily, such as:
Name (from your Google account, used only to greet you in the app)
Birth date or age (if entered manually, used to calculate financial summaries)
Income and financial details (entered manually by the user, used only within the app for net worth and budget calculations)
Google account information (email address, profile ID) — used only if you enable Google Drive synchronization for backup and restore purposes.
The Application does not automatically access or link to any bank accounts, credit cards, or payment services. All financial information is manually entered by the user.
If Google Drive synchronization is enabled, only the data you choose to back up (such as budgets, transactions, and debt records) is securely uploaded to your own Google Drive account. The Service Provider does not have access to this data.
Users may attach photos (e.g., receipts) to transactions for personal reference. These images are stored locally on your device and are never uploaded or shared, even when using Google Drive backup (which syncs text and numbers only).
The Application also includes a built-in calendar for tracking financial reminders. These entries are created manually by the user and stored locally. The app does not access your system calendar or any external calendar service.
All personal and financial data remain stored locally on your device or in your personal Google Drive. The Service Provider does not collect, sell, or share any user information with third parties.
The Service Provider may contact you only for essential updates, required notices, or support communication.
The app may use your device’s built-in biometric or PIN authentication for local security purposes. Authentication data is managed entirely by your device and is never stored or transmitted by the app.
The advice provided by the AI is for informational and educational purposes only. Do not rely on it as a substitute for professional financial planning, legal, or tax advice. We are not licensed financial advisors.
The Application uses third-party services to provide optional features or functionality, such as Google Drive synchronization. These services may collect information used to identify you. Below are links to their respective Privacy Policies:
