1. Information We Collect BudgetBuddy collects information you provide directly, including your name, email address, and financial transaction data (income, expenses, categories, notes) that you enter into the app. We also collect usage data through Firebase Analytics to improve the app experience.
2. How We Use Your Information We use your data solely to provide the app's budgeting features. Financial data is stored locally on your device and optionally synced to Firebase Firestore if you create an account. We use Firebase Analytics to understand how features are used. We use Firebase Crashlytics to detect and fix app crashes.
3. Data Storage and Security Your financial data is stored on your device using Android's secure storage. If you create an account, data is synced to Google Firebase servers protected by Google's security infrastructure. We do not sell your data to third parties.
4. Subscriptions and Payments BudgetBuddy offers monthly ($2.99) and yearly ($29.99) subscriptions via Google Play Billing. We do not process or store your payment information — all billing is handled entirely by Google Play.
5. Third-Party Services The app uses the following Google services: Firebase Authentication, Firebase Firestore, Firebase Analytics, and Firebase Crashlytics. These services are governed by Google's Privacy Policy at policies.google.com/privacy.
6. Your Rights You can delete your account and all associated data at any time from the Settings screen inside the app. You can also contact us to request data deletion.
7. Children's Privacy BudgetBuddy is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
8. Changes to This Policy We may update this policy. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
