Welcome to the Bucharest Computer Vision Group. We are a group of students, professors and other people interested in Computer Vision.

News

• Our paper Unsupervised Learning of Foreground Object Segmentation (I. Croitoru, S.V. Bogolin and M. Leordeanu) was accepted at IJCV 2019.
• Our paper Mining for meaning: from vision to language through multiple networks consensus (I. Duta, A. Nicolicioiu, S.V. Bogolin and M. Leordeanu) was accepted at BMVC 2018.
• We got the best paper award for Creating Roadmaps in Aerial Images with Generative Adversarial Networks and Smoothing-based Optimization (D. Costea, A. Marcu, E. Slusanschi and M. Leordeanu) at the 1st International Workshop on Computer Vision for UAVs, ICCV 2017.
• Our group had the following papers accepted at the International Conference on Computer Vision (ICCV) 2017:
  • Unsupervised object segmentation in video by efficient selection of highly probable positive features (E. Haller and M. Leordeanu)
  • Unsupervised learning from video to detect foreground objects in single images (I.Croitoru, S.V. Bogolin and M. Leordeanu)
  • Unmasking the abnormal events in video (R. T. Ionescu, S. Smeureanu, B. Alexe and M. Popescu)

Activities

• One of our first initiatives is the Bucharest Computer Vision Reading Group. We gather every week in order to discuss Computer Vision articles at the "Simion Stoilow" Institute of Mathematics of the Romanian Academy. If interested, you can join our group.
