Ongoing: Buckroe Pinball Selfie League | 6/25/2026 - 7/26/2026
The Buckroe Pinball Selfie League is a free-to-enter small pinball league located at Century Lanes that welcomes players of all skill levels and is a fun, casual way to play pinball! In a Selfie League, you can play on your own time to achieve the best score you can on each available machine, anytime throughout the league period to receive a ranking! You are allowed an unlimited number of attempts to submit the best score you can on each machine. Score submission is done by simply taking a picture of the score and submitting it online.
At the end of the league, the top ranking players will play in a final match where the top 4 players will win cash prizes based off the number of participating players!
To register, you may either register online via Match Play (preferred), or via email to tony@bubbytronics.com. Jump in anytime!
Current league period: 6/25/2026 - 7/26/2026
Join the Buckroe Pinball League Facebook group for communication and updates!
Entry is FREE. The only price you will need to pay is the price to play each machine. The selfie league will consist of a qualifying period followed by a finals.
During the qualifying period, you are allowed unlimited submissions of your best score for each pinball machine included in the league. Only your best (1) score for each machine counts towards your ranking, but you can keep trying as much as you want to improve your current score! Any scores that are below your highest score on that machine won't be counted. Get the highest ranking you can by doing your best on each machine!
To submit an entry, take a picture of your score on the screen of the pinball machine. You may either submit the photo directly to Match Play, or you may email the photo. Submitted scores will take a day or two to be confirmed/validated, with Match Play being the most preferred and faster method as that's also where you can track your scores.
Submit entries directly to Match Play HERE
When submitting through Match Play, click the "Arenas" tab, then the "+ Score" button for the machine that you're submitting a score for. Type in the score that you received and add the photo that you took of the score.
For email: tony@bubbytronics.com
Please submit score entries within 24 hours of getting the score. Old scores will not be counted and must be achieved during the league's timeframe.
Extra balls are allowed during the qualifying period. Competition mode is not required for the qualifying period.
Cooperative mode on games with that option is not allowed for score submission. Not to be confused with multiplayer play.
Scoring uses the Linear format. The highest score in each game awards a maximum of 100 points, with each score after that awarding one less point per next highest score.
For example, for a single machine, the top score on it will award 100 points, the second best score awarding 99 points, third awarding 98 points, etc. For a league with 3 machines, that means the highest number of points that can be earned is 300 points.
Note that your points can decrease; anytime a person's new best score beats your best score, your total points may decrease.
Machines information and standings are available on Match Play.
If multiple people are looking to play a specific machine at the same time, please give others a chance to play after playing all of your credits.
After qualification, finals are played in-person on a specified date and time, determined based on player availability.
While entry for qualification is free, there is a prize pool! The prize pool will consist of $5 per participating player that has submitted at least one score for each machine included in the qualifier.
Prizing is paid to the top 4 players. (50%/25%/15%/10%)
The number of qualifying players is determined by the number of participants.
Less than 16 participants: Top 4 qualifies
16+ participants: Top 8 qualifies
Typical IFPA rules apply.
Games played during the finals are to be played in Competition Mode, if the option is available.
If applicable, extra balls earned are to be plunged out during the finals.
Use of flippers is allowed when plunging an extra ball to change skill shot rollover lanes, viewing instant info, etc, but you are not allowed to hit the ball with the flippers by flipping up. (Effectively, you are allowed to "skill plunge"). Once the ball reaches the main playfield, you must allow it to drain.
You may continue to plunge if a ball saver is activated during an extra ball, with the same rule above still applying. You may "cheat" a plunge before the autoplunger launches the ball on ball save.
Note: This league is currently not IFPA sanctioned. If there's enough interest, we can look to get the next league sanctioned.
