The Chamber Board welcomes public comment for our meeting. We ask that the following rules be followed:

Anyone wishing to speak to the Board of Directors must notify the President or Vice President prior to the meeting being called to order. Notification can be given the day of the meeting or in advance.

  1. A total of 20 minutes will be allotted for Public Participation during each board meeting.
  2. Each speaker will be allowed three (3 minutes) with a maximum of three (3) speakers per topic.
  3. When called to speak, each speaker will identify their self by stating their name.
  4. Speakers may provide written text of their prepared comments to board members if so desired.
  5. While all comments and prepared written statements will be taken under consideration, the Board of Directors will not respond to speakers as individuals or as a group during the meeting. It is possible that speakers may be addressing a subject that is already listed on the agenda for the meeting.
  6. Speakers should expect the Board President to interrupt or terminate a presentation if the above rules are not followed or if the time limit has expired.
  7. If a speaker requires more than three (3) minutes, a request must be submitted in writing to the President or Secretary of the Board at least one week prior to the Board meeting in order to be considered for placement on an agenda.
