Kristen DelaSobera

President

Hello! My name is Kristen and this will be my second year as the PTO President. I'm a NOVA native. My son is currently an 8th grader at RRMS, and my daughter is in 4th grade. Since our arrival at BMES I have thoroughly enjoyed volunteering in a variety of activities. I'm a believer that no task is too small when it comes to creating a better learning community for our children. This year let's bring positive energy and lots of support, which will impact the lives of students, staff and our beloved school community! Let's make the 2025-2026 school year the best one yet.

Maria Hakeem

Co-Chair Vice President

Hi!! My name is Maria and I have one 4th grader Wildcat here at BMES. Both of my older girls are now Buckland alumni and my family and I have lived in the community for 8 years. The staff and families of BMES are near and dear to my heart and thou I work full-time for a gut health company. I'm very much looking forward to giving back and serving in the capacity of co-vice president for this coming school year. My husband, Justin and I are very involved as volunteers of all the things and so this just makes sense.

Becca McMenemy

Hi! I’m Becca your co-VP. I have two daughters at Buckland Mills, one in 2nd grade and one in 4th grade and a daughter starting high school. I have been an avid volunteer with the PTO over the last few years doing both the copy-cats program and volunteering during the big school events. I'm looking forward to helping to plan the fun events our PTO runs as well as bringing more opportunities to parents to volunteer at the school.

In my spare time I run an Etsy shop and attend local arts and crafts fairs with my company, Coodles Creations, that makes elastic neck dog bandanas and matching scrunchies.

I’m looking forward to making this a fun-filled school year!

Hello! I am Vicki, your Co-Secretary for this year! My son, Graham, is in the 5th grade. I am a product of PWCS, so I love giving back and being involved with the school. I look forward to working with the school administration, teachers, and parents to make this a great school year.

Lauren Dolinski

Hello! My name is Lauren and I have 3 kids, Lucy in 7th grade at Reagan, Nash in 5th grade and Riley in 2nd grade at BMES. It seems like we spend most of our time running around to sports practices and games! We also love to explore the area and visit local breweries. I have been volunteering whenever I can at BMES and this will be my second year as co-secretary. We have a great year planned and I'm looking forward to all the fun events!

Hello! My name is Jessi and I'm a mom of a 19 year old son heading into his 2nd year in college and twin 5th graders at BMES, Gracie and Wyatt. We are a family that loves to fish, golf, swim and go on Disney Cruises! With the support of my wonderful husband, John, we are navigating life filled with fun and chaos! :)

Hello, my name is Jennifer and I'll be working with Linda this year as your PTO communications team. We moved to Gainesville 2 years ago from Texas and our son who will going into 5th grade at BMES. I have volunteered with the Copy Cats the last two years and love to give back to the school when and where I can!

Hello, my name is Linda! I've been a Gainesville resident with my family for nearly 9 years and have an enthusiastic 2nd grader at BMES. After two years of volunteering with the PTO, I decided to join the board this year to get more involved and help create opportunities where our Wildcats can continue to shine. As the Co-Chair of Communications, I am excited to bring you the monthly newsletter and other updates to keep parents n the loop on all the amazing things the PTO has planned.

I'm Geneva Thaxton, joining the board this year as the Parent at Large. We have 3 boys, 2 of them will be at BMES this year. I look forward to helping out the Board and giving my support wherever it's needed.

We truly appreciate all the help and support given by our BMES families. If you are able to give your time once a week, or once a year, any amount helps.
