Racial Justice Retreat

"We are already one. But we imagine we are not.

And what we have to recover is our original unity."

Thomas Merton

Welcome to our Racial Justice retreat. The goal of this retreat is to encourage participants to seek understanding and reflection on systemic racial inequities, the implications of white privilege, and our calls to action in our religious and spiritual identities.

We hope the activities that follow will open your heart and mind to different ways of showing up in the world in such a way so as to make it a more peaceful, more just, more unified place for ALL. We recognize that reflection and prayer alone are not enough. The kind of racial justice we pray for is lifelong work. We encourage you to find your own motivation to get out on campus and in the larger community to seek out avenues for your own activism.

Peace,
