BTY – Better Than Yesterday ("BTY", "we", "our", or "us") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information is collected or processed when you use BTY, how it is used, and the choices available to you.
1. Information You Provide
When you use BTY, information necessary to provide the app's features may be stored, including:
• Account information, such as your email address and display name when you sign in with Google.
• Habits you create, including habit names, categories, goals, and related settings.
• Habit completion records and progress information.
• Notes or results that you choose to add to activity records.
• App settings and preferences.
BTY does not require access to your contacts, photos, or precise location to provide its core habit-tracking features.
2. How We Use Information
Information associated with your BTY account is used to:
• Provide and operate BTY.
• Save and synchronize your habits and progress.
• Display your history, streaks, statistics, and other app features.
• Maintain your account and preferences.
• Provide and verify Premium features where applicable.
• Maintain the security and reliability of the service.
3. Account and Authentication
BTY uses Google Sign-In and Supabase authentication services to provide account access.
Authentication information may be processed by Google and Supabase in accordance with their respective privacy practices.
BTY does not receive or store your Google account password.
4. Data Storage
BTY uses Supabase for backend, authentication, database, and synchronization services.
Information associated with your BTY account may be stored using Supabase infrastructure so that your habits, progress, settings, and related app data can be synchronized when you use your account.
Data transmitted between BTY and its service providers is transmitted using encrypted connections.
5. Advertising
BTY may offer optional rewarded advertisements using Google AdMob.
Users may choose to watch a rewarded advertisement in exchange for an in-app benefit.
Google Mobile Ads may automatically collect or process information such as device or advertising identifiers, IP address, interactions with advertisements, and diagnostic or performance information.
Google may use this information for purposes including ad delivery, measurement, analytics, security, and fraud prevention.
Rewarded advertisements are optional and are not required to use BTY's core habit-tracking functionality.
6. Premium and Digital Purchases
BTY may offer Premium features or other digital purchases through the applicable app store.
Payments are processed by the applicable app store or payment provider. BTY does not directly receive or store your full payment card information.
Purchase-related information may be processed as necessary to verify and provide access to purchased features.
7. Service Providers and Data Sharing
We do not sell your personal information.
BTY uses third-party service providers where necessary to operate the service, including providers for authentication, cloud data storage and synchronization, advertising, and app-store purchases.
These providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and in accordance with their own privacy practices and applicable law.
8. Deleting Specific Data
You can delete certain data directly within BTY without deleting your account.
For example, you can delete individual habits and habit-completion records. Your BTY account can remain active after deleting this data.
9. Account Deletion
You can permanently delete your BTY account.
BTY provides an account-deletion option within the app. Account deletion is designed to remove your BTY account and associated user data, subject to any limited retention required by law, security, fraud-prevention, or legitimate technical requirements.

10. Data Retention
We retain account and app data only for as long as reasonably necessary to operate BTY and fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy.
Information may be retained for a limited period where necessary for legal, security, fraud-prevention, backup, or technical purposes.
11. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information processed through BTY. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
12. Children's Privacy
BTY is not specifically directed to young children.
We do not knowingly design BTY for the collection of personal information from young children. If we become aware that personal information has been collected in circumstances requiring parental consent under applicable law, we will take appropriate steps.
13. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as BTY develops or when our features, service providers, advertising practices, or legal requirements change.
