The BTWC staff believes in a systematic approach and family oriented style wrestling. At BTWC, all wrestlers in the club are treated as one. All levels of our wrestling program will utilize this same system. The techniques and skill development you gain as part of our club will be vital tools in preparing your wrestler to becoming the Champion they are!
Rich Bitetto graduated from Hackensack High School in 1996. During his high school tenure he compiled over 110 wins. He was a four time state qualifier and won the 1996 State Championships. He was voted to the Region 2 Hall of Fame, the Bergen Record's All-Century Team, and the BCCA's Hall of Fame.
In 2004 Rich created Bitetto Trained Wrestling Club which started in his parents garage. Starting as small group private coaching sessions Rich built Bitetto Trained to become one of the most premier wrestling clubs in NJ.
Butch Bitetto graduated from Hackensack High School in 1973. During his high school tenure he was a three time varsity letter winner (Freshman weren't allowed to wrestle varsity at the time).
Upon graduating high school Butch helped start the Hackensack Junior Wrestling Program and was one of the pioneers of the Twin County Wrestling League.
Butch converted his garage into the "Magic Room" where kids from all over the state of NJ were allowed to come and train. Some of the best wrestlers in NJ history have trained in the "Magic Room". This is where BTWC originated.
Over the years Butch has coached at Hackensack Junior Wrestling for over 20 years, at Don Bosco Preparatory High School for 2 years, New Canaan Your Wrestling for 6 years, and at Bitetto Trained since 2004.
Chris Bitetto graduated from Hackensack High School in 2001. During his high school tenure he had compiled over 130 wins. He was a four time state medalist, three time state finalist and a 1999 State Champ. He was voted to the Bergen Records All-Century Team and BCCA's Hall of Fame.
Upon graduating high school Chris attended the University of Northern Iowa where he graduated with a physical education degree. Chris was a three time NCAA qualifier and a Western Regional Conference Champion.
Chris was an assistant coach at Bergen Catholic for three seasons before taking the head coaching position at Don Bosco Prep. where he coached for six seasons. He coached seven state champions, ten state finalists, and over forty state place finishers while at both schools.
Joe Trause graduated from Bergen Catholic High School in 2008. During his high school tenure Joe compiled 136 wins. He was a four time state medalist, two time state finalist, and a two time State Champ in 2006 & 2007. He was a two time All-American at the Freestyle Nationals in Fargo, ND. He was voted to the BCCA's Hall of Fame.
Upon graduating high school Joe attended the University of Virginia. In his short tenure at UVA Joe placed 6th at US Open before returning home due to extenuating circumstances.
Joe returned to his alma mater, Bergen Catholic, as an assistant coach. During his time as an assistant Joe coached fifteen state champions, twenty finalists, and over forty state place finishers.
Billy Reardon graduated from Don Bosco Preparatory High School in 2014. Billy was a state qualifier his Junior year and won the Region 2 Championships that same year.
Upon graduating high school Joe attended TCNJ University. He was a four year varsity letter winner.
Billy returned to his alma mater as a coach upon graduation for two season before joining the BTWC staff.
Matt Spataro graduated from Bergen Catholic High School in 2009. During his high school tenure Joe compiled 119 wins. He was a two time state medalist placing 6th and 7/8th.
Upon graduating high school Matt attended the Hofstra University. Matt was a three year varsity letter winner for the Hofstra Pride.
Matt just started to get into coaching and is a new member to the BTWC coaching staff.
