Setting Up Correctly
Permissions Configuration:
After installing the application, accept all permissions. Ensure you set the location permission to 'Always'.
On iPhone:
Navigate to Settings > Privacy & Security > Location Services > BTM.
Select 'Always' and enable 'Precise Location'.
On Android:
Go to Settings > Location > BTM > Permissions > Location.
Choose 'Allow all the time' and enable 'Use precise location'.
Note: These permissions are required for BTM to accurately calculate fares.
Tariff Configuration:
Tap the menu icon in the top left corner and select 'Tariffs'.
To edit an existing tariff, tap the edit icon next to the desired tariff. To add a new tariff, click the plus (+) icon in the top right corner.
All fare parameters are fully editable. Adjust the values as needed and ensure you click the 'Save' button in the top right corner to save your changes. Unsaved changes will be lost when you navigate away from the tariff screen.
By following these steps, you will ensure the application is set up correctly for optimal performance.
Why Low GPS?
For optimal GPS performance, please ensure you have a strong GPS signal. When opening the application, allow approximately 10 seconds for the GPS to lock onto your location. If the signal does not improve within 30 seconds, move to an open space to facilitate satellite tracking. If the issue persists, verify that location permissions are enabled in your phone settings or restart your phone. This should resolve the problem.
Why do I have to pay a monthly subscription?
To ensure the functionality of this application, which relies on third-party services for obtaining information such as address details for receipts, maps, and directions, as well as covering server costs, your monthly subscription contributes towards these essential services.
How to use directions and get an estimated fare?
After subscribing, you can access the directions feature by clicking the button in the top left corner of the map. Enter your correct address or postcode to receive directions and an estimate. Please note that the estimate may not be 100% accurate as it does not account for traffic conditions, so exercise caution when using this estimate.
