Participants who register by Wednesday, October 16, and participate in either track will secure a ChatGPT Premium subscription! Registrations after this date based on availability.
Prepare a presentation as a team to address the ethical concerns related to a real-world use of generative AI.
Teams will receive case study details, background information, and related articles.

Design Hackathon
(afternoon, 1:15pm-5pm)
This is a "smart device" design challenge! Use your art, fabrication, or programming skills to create a prototype of an Internet of Things (IoT) technology, focusing on social innovation and thoughtful design.
You can participate in either track (or both!)
Students, Staff, and Faculty from all departments at Berea College and in other institutions are welcome to participate.
Location: Berea College Makerspace, CMIT Building Room 216
Participation: All participants who participate in either track will receive a month-long ChatGPT Plus membership. (or equivalent!)
Grand Prize: Each track has a Judge's Prize (Grand Prize), with gifts for each team member.
Social Impact Prizes: Audience Choice and special topic prizes announced on the day!
MORNING

11:00AM-12 PM - Presentation & Judging (5 mins presentation and 3 mins for Q&A) - Open to Spectators!

AFTERNOON
Arduino Workshops
1:15-2:00pm - We are hosting an Intro to Arduino workshop at the start of the Design Jam, with electronics and prototyping mentors there to help you make your ideas a reality!

2:30 PM: Work session begins
4:45 PM: Demo time & Judging
Closing Ceremony
5:30 PM: Closing Ceremony (Judge Prize and Special Prizes Announced for both Tracks)
