Spike Exchange Program

This is currently in the "dreaming" stage.

When we refer to "spikes" we are talking about the shoes, not the little metal spikes that go in them. (welcome to the inside world of distance running).

If you have old spikes that have been outgrown, we can "recycle" them with younger members of the team. Buying spikes for new runners is tough for many reasons with the primary one being sizing. Spikes don't always run the same size and fit as regular shoes. Since spikes don't get lots of use, they typically are like brand-new.

Also note, I've been finding like-new spikes at local stores like Goodwill, Salvation Army, garage sales, etc for under $5. If you see any that are in good shape and less than $10, grab them and I will pay you back.

I would like to see if this work as it gives our "new" runners a chance to try out spikes with little to no cost. If questions let me know. Jason
