This Privacy Policy describes how BT Printer ("we", "our", or "the app") handles your information when you use our mobile application.
1. Information We Collect
1.1 Data You Provide
Receipt Images: When you share a screenshot or image from a payment app (such as BRImo, GoPay, ShopeePay, etc.) to BT Printer, the image is processed locally on your device using on-device OCR (Optical Character Recognition). The image is NOT uploaded to any server.
Receipt Data: Parsed receipt information (merchant name, date, time, transaction amount, payment method, transaction ID) is stored locally on your device in an internal database. This data never leaves your device.
Printer Settings: Font size and print preferences are stored locally on your device.
1.2 Information Collected Automatically
Device Information: We collect device model, OS version, and app version through Firebase Analytics for crash reporting and performance monitoring.
Usage Data: Anonymous usage statistics (e.g., feature usage frequency, session duration) are collected via Firebase Analytics to help us improve the app.
App Configuration: The app fetches remote configuration values (such as ad settings) from Firebase Remote Config. This does not involve collecting personal data.
1.3 Permissions We Request
Bluetooth (BLUETOOTH_CONNECT, BLUETOOTH_SCAN): Required to discover and connect to Bluetooth thermal printers for printing receipts.
Internet (INTERNET): Required to load ads, fetch remote configuration, and communicate with Firebase services.
Network State (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE): Used to check network availability before loading ads or fetching remote data.
Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE): Used to read receipt images shared from other apps. Only required on older Android versions (Android 12 and below).
2. How We Use Your Information
To perform OCR text recognition on receipt images (processed entirely on your device).
To format and display parsed receipt data.
To send formatted text or images to a Bluetooth thermal printer.
To display advertisements (banner ads) to non-premium users.
To analyze app usage and improve performance and stability.
To remotely manage app features (such as enabling/disabling ads) without requiring an app update.
3. Advertising
BT Printer displays advertisements through the AppLovin MAX mediation platform. AppLovin MAX may serve ads from the following ad networks:
Google AdMob
Meta Audience Network (Facebook)
Unity Ads
Pangle
InMobi
These ad networks may collect and process certain device information (such as device identifiers, IP address, and advertising ID) to serve personalized ads. Each ad network has its own privacy policy:

4. Your Privacy Choices (GDPR / CCPA)
For users in the European Economic Area (EEA), United Kingdom, or California, a consent form will be shown automatically when required by law. You can:
Withdraw consent at any time through the Privacy Options form accessible from the app settings.
Opt out of personalized ads through your device's ad settings.
Request data deletion by clearing app data through your device's Settings → Apps → BT Printer → Storage → Clear Data.
5. Data Storage and Security
All receipt data (images, parsed text, transaction details) is stored locally on your device using an internal database (Room/SQLite).
We do NOT upload, transmit, or sell your receipt data to any server.
You can delete all stored data at any time by clearing the app data through your device settings, or by using the delete function within the app.
6. In-App Purchases
BT Printer offers a premium upgrade (to remove watermarks and ads) via Google Play Billing. Purchase transactions are handled entirely by Google Play Store. We do not collect or store your payment information.
7. Children's Privacy
BT Printer is not directed to children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will take steps to remove such information.
