Privacy Policy for Bluetooth Game Buzzer

Bluetooth Game Buzzer (“the App”) is provided by Harvness LLC (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

This policy describes what information the App uses, how it is used, and how third-party advertising works. The App is a local Bluetooth quiz-buzzer tool. We do not create user accounts, and we do not operate a Harvness server that stores your gameplay.

If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.

1. Information the App uses

Information you provide

• Player name. You may enter a display name in Settings. This name is stored on your device and is shown to other nearby players during a game. It may also appear in Bluetooth advertising used to host or join a game.

We do not ask for your email address, phone number, real name, payment information, or account credentials.

Information stored on your device

The App stores a small amount of data locally, including:

• Your player name

• The name and identifier of a game you are hosting

• The name of a game you joined and related connection details needed to reconnect during that session

This data stays on your device unless you share it over Bluetooth as part of playing, or unless Android backup copies app data from the device.

Uninstalling the App removes this local data from the device.

Information used to run a game (Bluetooth)

To host, find, and join games, the App uses Bluetooth Low Energy. Depending on your Android version, this may require Bluetooth and, on older Android versions, location permission.

During a game, nearby devices may exchange:

• Player names

• Game names

• Buzz, correct/incorrect, join, leave, and score events

• Bluetooth device identifiers needed to connect (such as a device address)

This traffic is sent directly between nearby devices. Harvness LLC does not receive it.

Location: On some Android versions, location permission is required by the system to scan for Bluetooth devices. The App does not use GPS to track your location, does not show maps, and does not send your location to Harvness.

Information we do not collect

Harvness LLC does not collect:

• Analytics or crash reports through our own services

• Precise location for our own use

• Contacts, photos, microphone audio, or files

• Account or login data

We do not sell your personal information.

2. Third-party advertising (Google AdMob)

The App displays ads provided by Google AdMob, including banner ads and app-open ads. Internet access is used to load those ads.

Google and its advertising partners may collect and process information on or through the App in order to show ads, measure ad performance, and (where allowed) personalize ads. That information can include:

• Device and advertising identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID)

• IP address and general network information

• Approximate location derived from IP address or device signals

• Device type, operating system, language, and similar technical data

• Information about ads shown, clicked, or viewed

• Cookie or similar identifiers, where applicable

Harvness LLC does not control Google’s independent collection or use of this data.

• Google advertising / AdMob

You can limit ad personalization in Android settings (for example, Google → Ads or reset/opt out of the Advertising ID), and through any in-ad or system privacy controls Google provides in your region.

European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland

If you are in a region where consent is required for personalized ads or certain cookies/identifiers, Google’s advertising tools may request consent or use non-personalized ads according to Google’s requirements and applicable law. You can also review Google’s privacy and ad settings linked above.

3. How information is used

• Show your name to other players and run the buzzer game: Player name, Bluetooth game traffic

• Remember your settings and current game: Local device storage

• Display ads and support the App: Data processed by Google AdMob and its partners

• Provide and maintain the App: Technical operation of the App on your device

4. Sharing of information

• Other players nearby: Your player name and game activity are visible to devices in the same Bluetooth game.

• Google AdMob and advertising partners: As described in Section 2.

• Legal requirements: We may disclose information if required by law, but the App does not maintain a Harvness-side user database of gameplay.

• We do not sell personal information.

5. Children

The App is a general-audience game tool and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 for our own use.

6. Data retention and security

Local App data remains on your device until you change it, clear the App’s storage, or uninstall the App.

Bluetooth game data exists for the session among nearby devices and is not uploaded to Harvness.

Advertising data is retained by Google and its partners according to their policies.

No method of electronic storage or wireless transmission is completely secure. Bluetooth communication can be observed by others in range.

7. Your choices

• Change or delete your player name in Settings.

• Decline Bluetooth or location permissions (the App cannot host, find, or join games without the permissions Android requires).

• Limit or reset advertising identifiers in Android system settings.

• Uninstall the App to remove local App data from the device.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
