Samanta Nnanna - Class of 2027

As a Student Ambassador at UC Riverside, Samanta Nnanna hosts events to help students integrate Gemini into their academic lives. During her internship at Southern California Edison, she supported the Real Properties and Permitting team by developing a process flow and RACI chart that was adopted as a permanent department resource. Through Black Students in Business, Samanta strengthened her leadership, communication, and project management skills by coordinating teams, planning programs, and meeting deadlines, preparing her to collaborate effectively, take initiative, and solve complex problems head on.

Drew Thompson - Class of 2027

During his internship, Drew Thompson supported three settlement groups through data analysis, data visualization, process automation, and documentation while setting a renewable energy portfolio valued at roughly $2 million. His involvement with Black Students in Business helped him build essential business communication skills and provided the confidence to stay resourceful, enabling him to research, connect insights, and leverage his on-site network to tackle complex problems.

Precious Nnaji is a Consulting Analyst Intern with Kalypso Rockwell Automation. Recruiters and interviewers were impressed by his leadership in BSIB and intrigued by the events he highlighted from his involvement. Through BSIB, he gained confidence in engaging with professionals across different industries, which helped him navigate the interview process with ease.

Tobi Ukpong - Class Of 2027

As a Student Ambassador, Tobi Ukpong takes an outreach-oriented approach to connecting with the campus community. In this role, he shares practical strategies and guides students toward effectively integrating Gemini into their academic routines, helping streamline their overall student experience. To engage the UC Riverside campus, Tobi hosts targeted events, pop-up booths, and informational sessions highlighting Gemini's features and capabilities.

Drew Thompson interned this past summer with Modern Woodmen as a Financial Representative. He secured this internship through a connection with a former BSIB president, who introduced him to a recruiter at a career fair.

Chuka Anuluoha spent the summer in China completing an International Sourcing Supply Chain Internship with Goshippro, an e-commerce company based in Taizhou. With the help of BSIB, he was able to secure this opportunity and connect to the resources that made the internship possible. During his time abroad, Chuka learned the ins and outs of global sourcing, gained firsthand exposure to Chinese business culture, met prominent business leaders, and further developed his Mandarin language skills.

Samanta Nnanna, a third-year Business Economics major, secured her internship at AmPac Business Capital after attending a guest speaker workshop exclusively for BSIB students. Through this opportunity, she earned a position as a Data Analyst Intern at AmPac Business Capital.
