For over a decade, Suly has been working as an independent contractor for the American College of Clinical Engineering (ACCE) supporting its board, committees, and members, as well as coordinating events and assisting in fund raising.
Previously, Suly worked as an independent consultant for the Pan-American Health Organization (PAHO/WHO) on planning and procurement of medical equipment, having created teaching material for workshops conducted by PAHO/WHO for health officials in Latin American and Caribbean countries. She also worked for several years as a research engineer for the Brazilian national telecommunications company’s primary research center (CPqD-TELEBRAS) in Brazil, where she was responsible for the hardware specification, design, and prototyping of the first digital telephony system for that country.
Suly holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Electronics Engineering from the University of Sao Paulo, Brazil, and a Master of Science in System Engineering from Boston University, Boston MA.
