About

The choir was started in 2008 by Musical Director Bethany Richard who has previously lead choirs in Cambridge and Hertfordshire.

The choir is strictly non-audition and is designed to be open to anyone who loves to sing. We have members of all ages and abilities and love to get to know new people.

Community

We see choir as a community and have regular social events to help us to get to know each other as friends as well as fellow singers.

As a choir we run our own events such as Summer Garden Party and Spring concerts. In addition to this we are involved in many regular events in our local area; singing in Stansted Airport, Jackson Square shopping centre, Christmas markets and carol services, retirement homes and a number of local music festivals.

Rehearsals

Rehearsals take place between 6pm and 8pm on Sunday evenings at the Charis Centre. They are informal, fun and all of the songs are taught by rote, so no need to be able to read music. Rehearsals also include a tea break with homemade cakes made each week by members of the choir.
