About
Dr. B. S. Chhikara completed his doctoral research at the Institute of Nuclear Medicine and Allied Sciences (DRDO) and was awarded his Ph.D. by the University of Delhi through the Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research. Following his Ph.D., he joined the Bundelkhand University, Jhansi, as a Lecturer in Organic Chemistry at the Institute of Biomedical Sciences for short duration.
He was subsequently awarded a prestigious Postdoctoral Fellowship in Nanoscience by the Department of Science and Technology. During this period, he worked with Prof. Santanu Bhattacharya in the Department of Organic Chemistry at the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore, India. Dr. Chhikara later received a postdoctoral fellowship in United States, where he conducted research with Prof. Keykavous Parang in the Department of Biomedical and Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Rhode Island, Kingston, RI, USA.
After returning to India in 2012, he briefly served as a faculty member at the Deenbandhu Chhotu Ram University of Science and Technology. In 2014, he joined Aditi Mahavidyalaya, a constituent college of the University of Delhi, as an Assistant Professor, where he currently serves.
