Dr. Syandan Chakraborty

I am a creative, inquisitive, and hard-working scientist with a strong base in molecular biology, genome editing, and gene delivery. In my passionate attempt to understand the healthcare landscape better, I trained as a physician from the Postgraduate Institute of Medical Sciences (Rohtak, India), and a scientist from the Indian Institute of Technology (Kanpur, India). I was fortunate to undergo graduate and postgraduate training with the best and brightest at Duke University and Columbia University and later joined GlaxoSmithKline as an investigator to execute both bespoke gene editing projects and whole-genome screens. My association with startup activities dates back to my days at Columbia University. In my current role as a principal scientist for a stealth mode startup company based out of Cambridge, Massachusetts, I am looking for opportunities to unleash the power of cells to mitigate human diseases.
