Since its inception in 2001, the BSBE department at IIT Kanpur has been a center for pioneering research and quality education in basic biology, biomedical sciences and bioengineering. BSBE Faculty members are engaged in multi-disciplinary research on cutting-edge problems and are renowned in their respective fields. We aim to produce highly skilled professionals in modern biology and allied fields, who would engage in addressing the challenges faced by mankind to further enhance the quality of life. With our vision to provide quality teaching and training, we aspire to become a global leader in the field in the near future.

From the 27th to 30th September, 2021, we are celebrating our achievements by hosting a series of exciting lectures and panel discussions. Renowned scientists who are experts in their respective domains will deliver lectures and provide insight on emerging issues related to biological sciences research through panel discussions.
