Dr. Priyanka Srivastava

Dr. Priyanka Srivastava is a skilled computational biophysicist with more than a decade long experience of working on challenging drug target, RAS. She is currently working as a Scientist at the Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research (FNLCR), NCI RAS Initiative, Maryland, USA. Before joining this position she was working as a Junior Faculty of Integrative Biology and Pharmacology at UTHealth, Houston. Her primary focus area has been to investigate the membrane biophysics of KRAS and to develop innovative ways to target this elusive drug target. She has been working at the interface of academia and industry for past several years and am a co-inventor on a patent. She has authored more than 25+ original research articles, reviews and perspective and have served as co-investigator on three R01 grants (one funded). She is a First Prize recipient of Dean’s excellence in Research Award of the Medical School at UTHealth, Houston TX; recipient of a competitive postdoctoral Keck-CCBTP fellowship, editorial board member of Scientific Reports (IF: ~4.5), topic-editorial board member of Biomolecules (IF: ~4.8) and have published in notable journals such as Cell, PNAS, Biophysical Journal and JACS, among others. She has co-mentored several graduate student and postdoc with diverse backgrounds who have all been very successful in their scientific careers.
