Troop 444 History
Troop 444 was chartered in 1929 to provide youth in Sullivan with opportunities for outdoor adventure, leadership development, and service. Since our beginnings, we’ve grown into a troop that challenges Scouts to push their limits, master skills, and make lasting memories.
Our troop is divided into two main patrols:
High School Patrol: 14–18 years old (Patrol Leader: Jackson Weakley)
Junior Patrol: 5th–8th graders (11–13 years old), who joined from Pack 443 in 2024 (Patrol Leader: Sawyer Presley)
(Patrol Leaders are older Scouts and more experienced scouts; in a Junior Patrol, the leader will always be an older Scout.)
The Leadership
Our troop is led by dedicated Scoutmasters and youth leaders who mentor Scouts in leadership, outdoor skills, and personal growth. Patrol Leaders and Assistant Patrol Leaders help organize activities, lead meetings, and support fellow Scouts in earning their ranks and badges.
