The first president 開山會長：        

  The founder of  American Buddhist Synchronicity Association was Zen Master Shi Yan Xiang, a monk from the Po Lin Monastery in Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, China (December 1, 1950-January 18, 2020).Zen Master Shi Yan Xiang, also known as Shi Monk because he loves stones. Zen masters have liked Buddhism since they were young, and have longed to become monks and learn Buddhism since they were young. He entered Bao Lian Monastery in the October 14, 1984 and became the disciple of a great monk of Shi Sheng Yi.  In 2000, Zen Master Yan Xiang went to New York to promote and teach Buddhism. And established the Buddhist Synchronicity Association in 2003. In the past two decades, Master has met many people who are sincere and kind to the Buddha with his excellent foreign language ability and extensive Buddhist knowledge. Zen Master Shi Yan Xiang spread the Dharma skillfully and conveniently, and spread buddhist knowledge to the destined people in an easy-to-understand manner. Zen master is full of compassion! Sad, on January 18, 2020, a fire ruthlessly destroyed the site, but Zen Master Yan Xiang's body was not burned And unscathed, this miracle is exactly what the Buddha said immortal.

       美國佛緣同步會開山始祖是來自中國香港特別行政區的寶蓮寺僧人釋衍祥禪師（公元1950年12月01日～2020年01月18日）。釋衍祥禪師，因鍾愛石頭故又名石和尚。禪師幼喜佛法，從小立志出家學佛，於農曆甲子九月二十日(西曆公元一九八四年十月十四日)皈依寶蓮寺釋<上>聖<下>一大和尚，並得戒於宏船大法師後成為釋門一粟。在2000年衍祥禪師到美國紐約傳法並於2003年成立了Buddhist Synchronicity Association。二十年多來，法師憑藉他優秀的外語水平和廣博的佛學知識，結緣了很多誠心向佛的善眾。釋衍祥禪師傳法善巧方便、有教無類，通俗易懂地將善知識傳播給有緣大眾，禪師俱足了慈悲之心！嗚呼！在多事之秋的2020年元月18日，一場大火無情地把會址毀於一旦，但卻保存了衍祥禪師的完整玉身（被警察發現時，衍祥禪師安詳地躺在床上，毫髮無傷），這種神跡恰恰鐵證了佛所說的無漏涅槃🙏🙏🙏。
