We gathered together to celebrate Spring Festival 2023 (পিঠাপুলি উৎসব ও বসন্ত বরণ ১৪২৯) on Henke Lounge, Alumni Memorial Union of Marquette University on February 12, 2023. The event attracted more than 50 participants. Different kinds of traditional foods were served. The event ended with cultural programs and some fun sports segements.
BSAMU New Graduate Student Orientation Program was held on September 18th, 2022, at AMU 227 Lounge. We got to know our new faces and hoped they felt welcomed into the community. Thanks to our medical and tax communication team members Khaled Mosharraf Mukut and Rafee Mahbub for their elaborate discussion on Healthcare and tax basics for graduate students. Finally, we enjoyed pizza and beverages in our meet-and-greet session.
Over the course of time and ongoing new topics, we keep forgetting the past events. But the trauma is still REAL for those who suffered.
We, members of the Bangladesh Student Association at Marquette University, are dead against the violence against minority communities that took place in Bangladesh during Durga Puja 2021, the most important religious celebration of the Hindu community.
We demand proper justice from the authority so that it doesn’t repeat ever!
We gathered at Puckett's Pond Shelter of Harrington Beach State Park on July 24th, 2021 to celebrate Eid ul Adha as well as to give farewell to our recent graduates. We enjoyed traditional homemade Bangladeshi foods, especially Kacchi Biryani, cooked by our awesome and generous volunteers which gave us the feeling of “Deshi Eid” despite being so far from home. We distributed plaques to our proud graduates as a small token to keep us in their memory forever. They shared their life lessons and advice with the current students which left an impact on the mind of the current students. We ended the program with a cheerful musical session and a group photoshoot. Check out all the photos in our Facebook group: https://www.facebook.com/groups/1626190120794249
