Uncharted territory, as we visit the site of the Battle of Lexington in Lexington, MO.

A weekend of service and learning leadership skills, our troop auction, a fun Saturday evening at TBD, as well as the Scout "Sunday" service with all of the 288 Scouting Groups at our chartered organization.

Even more uncharted territory for 288, as we visit a new place up north in eastern Nebraska - Indian Caves!

And yet, even more uncharted territory (the scouts are expanding their horizons from repeat campouts, lol), as we visit Fort Leavenworth in Leavenworth, KS!

A very relaxed campout with members of both the boy and girl troops, scouts worked on personal rank advancements and enjoyed some fellowship in the outdoor elements. 

Attending camp as a linked troop, the boy and girl troops will camp together at Bartle for the very first time! And the first time in a number of years, the troop(s) are attending a session in June. (vs the normal July)

Museum of Illusion at Union Station (December 2024)

An event hosted by our new Venture Crew, 2288, members of the troops visited a museum of image and sculpture illusions that make anyone's mind boggle! 

Scoutsgiving Campout at Camp Naish (November 2024)

A combined campout with some of the Webelos of Pack 4288. Complete with fun fellowship, Totin & Fireman Chit training, and families came out for a Thanksgiving Feast of delicious smoked turkey with all the fixings, as provided by the patrols / families. (especially mac & cheese, LOL)

Cub Scout Family Campout & Halloween Fun (October 2024)

A joint campout with the Cub Scouts / Families of Pack 4288 at Rotary Camp in Lees Summit, MO. Included the teaching of scouting skills, fun and games, Trick or Treating, a campfire, a hike, and a boat regatta! Hosted by the scouts of Troops 1288 & 7288.

Advancement Campout at Richardson Farm (September 2024)

A very relaxed campout with members of both the boy and girl troops, scouts worked on personal rank advancements and enjoyed some fellowship in the outdoor elements. 

Church Campout (August 2024)

A campout on the grounds of our chartered organization. Activities ranged from resetting equipment following our Scout Camp experience last month, and a trash pickup fundraiser.

Scout Camp (July 2024)

Our annual 10-Day camping adventure in the Hills of Osceola. Merit Badges; swimming; Outposts; campsite activities; the Mic-O-Say program. Every year brings new adventures / stories to tell.

Watkin's Mill Hammock Camping (June 2024) 

Swimming & kayaking at Watkins Mill State Park up in Kearney, MO. And a new experience for most - hammock camping!

Lake of the Ozark Merit Badge College      (May 2024)

A merit Badge weekend at a different council's Scout Reservation down in the Ozarks - Camp Hohn!

Scout-O-Rama & Webelos Woods (April 2024) 

A camping weekend in Smithville, MO, bringing troops across the North Star District, together to compete in games of Scouting Skill in a friendly competition. For Cub Scouts, Webelos are invited to come out Saturday to partake in the fun with the scout troops.

Wilderness Survival (March 2024)

Wilderness Survival shelter camping and cooking in the great outdoors of the Bartle Scout Reservation. Plus a service project to the reservation / hike while off-season camping there.

Troop Lock-In / Scout Sunday (February 2024)

A weekend of service and organization of our troop equipment, a fun Saturday evening activity, as well as Scout Sunday with all of the 288 Scouting Groups at our chartered organization.

Below Zero Camping & Pony Express Museum (January 2024)

A weekend of camping at Camp Geiger (a summer camp in another council) in below zero temperatures, and visiting the Pony Express Museum in St. Joseph, MO.

Attending the festivities of Eagle Days up at the Loess Bluff National Wildlife Refuge. Hiking; Nature Center; Auto-Tour to view Bald Eagles and other water fowl.

A weekend of camping at one of the larger summer camps, but for fun vs a planned program. Service work, and our Scout Troop Thanksgiving Family Dinner are planned for this weekend.

A weekend of camping almost 4 hours away from our home in Kansas City; down in Ha Ha Tonka State Park! Caving; swimming; kayaking; campsite fun.

A campout on the grounds of our chartered organization. Activities range from scouting skills, advancement, or in the case of 2023, going through all of our troop equipment for organization, repairs, or discards.

A weekend of camping and fishing over Father's Day weekend at Wallace State Park.

Camping and rifle shooting at Landahl Park / Lake City Range, plus some hiking and hill climbing.

Tent-less shelter camping with personal gear and preparing food for themselves down at the Bartle Scout Reservation! (except adults, lol) 

Camping at Shawnee Mission Park. Food, fellowship and teaching the do's and do not's of using wood tools and building fires.

Team competition for the scouts / volunteering for the adults (running a team building game). All up in Kearney
