NOTE: Please be aware that the ages provided are basic guidelines.  The character will be cast with the best performer for the role.

Narrator: 18+ Can be male or female depending on auditions. Narrator helps tell the story throughout.  Needs good musical timing even though this part of the role is only spoken.  

Mysterious Man: 18+ The Mysterious Man Vocal range G2 to E flat 4. He is a grandfatherly figure.  We learn in the story that he is Baker's father.
Note: Narrator and Mysterious Man: Two roles may be played by the same actor, or separated depending on auditions.

Cinderella: Female, age 19 +. Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: G3. A earnest maiden who is constantly mistreated by her stepmother and stepsisters.

Jack: Male, age 15 +. Vocal range top: G4. Vocal range bottom: B2. The feckless giant killer who is ‘almost a man.’ He is adventurous, naïve, energetic, and bright-eyed.

Jack’s Mother: Female, age 40 +. Vocal range top: Gb5. Vocal range bottom: Bb3. Browbeating and weary, Jack’s protective mother who is independent, bold, and strong-willed.

The Baker: Male, age 30 +. Vocal range top: G4. Vocal range bottom: Ab2. A harried and insecure baker who is simple and loving, yet protective of his family. He wants his wife to be happy and is willing to do anything to ensure her happiness but refuses to let others fight his battles.

The Baker’s Wife: Female, age: 30 +. Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: F3. Determined and bright woman who wishes to be a mother. She leads a simple yet satisfying life and is very low-maintenance yet proactive in her endeavors.

Cinderella’s Stepmother: Female, age 40 +. Vocal range top: F#5. Vocal range bottom: A3. The mean-spirited, demanding stepmother of Cinderella.

Florinda And Lucinda: Female, 16 to 35. Vocal range top: Ab5. Vocal range bottom: C4. Cinderella’s stepsisters who are black of heart. They follow in their mother’s footsteps of abusing Cinderella.

Little Red Riding Hood: Female, age 19 +. Vocal range top: F5. Vocal range bottom: Bb3. A spoiled girl who is strong-willed, quick-witted, fearless, yet youthful and naïve.

The Witch: Female, age 40 +. Vocal range top: G5. Vocal range bottom: F3. Sarcastic, ugly then-gorgeous, obsessive protector of Rapunzel who is straightforward and aggressive.

Wolf: Male, age 19 +. Vocal range top: Gb4. Vocal range bottom: Bb2. Wolf: Hungry and insatiable hunter who takes advantage of the weak by misleading and captivating his prey. Prince: Vain and handsome, he is a disloyal lover who is currently searching for the next new, exciting thing.

Cinderella’s Prince: Male, age 19 +. Vocal range top: Gb4. Vocal range bottom: Bb2. Wolf: Hungry and insatiable hunter who takes advantage of the weak by misleading and captivating his prey. Prince: Vain and handsome, he is a disloyal lover who is currently searching for the next new, exciting thing.

Rapunzel: Female, age 19 +. Vocal range top: A5. Vocal range bottom: B3. A loopy-but lovely maiden who is sheltered by the Witch and terribly lonely. She yearns to experience the world.

Rapunzel’s Prince: Male, age 20 +. Vocal range top: E4. Vocal range bottom: C#3. Just as vain and handsome as his Prince brother, he is always chasing the newest, most exiting endeavor.

The Steward: Any, age 17 +. Vocal range: Ensemble singer. A servant who is used to doing whatever they need to solve a problem. Their only care is to please the master or the strongest personality in the room. Conniving, callous and cowardly.

Giant + Granny + Cinderella Mom - Female, 18+. Vocal range: Ensemble singer.

Cinderella Father - Male 25+ Ensemble singer. 

Understudy for lead roles are in limited scenes.

Snow White + Understudy: Female, 15 to 45. Vocal range: Ensemble singer. Primary role is Snow White will understudy for lead roles.

Sleeping Beauty + Understudy: Female, 15 to 45. Vocal range: Ensemble singer. Primary role is Sleeping Beauty will understudy for lead roles.

Goldilocks: Female, 15 to 45. Vocal range: Ensemble singer. Primary role is Goldilocks will understudy for lead roles. 

EXTRA - if you would like to be considered as an extra along with your first choice. These are possibilities depending if we decide to fill these roles these are limited roles.
