I  am married to a wonderful, caring man and we have 3 charming, talented kiddos. I was born and raised in Austin and love this town even when it 106 degrees in the summer.  I am a product of Austin ISD, Highland Park Elementary, Lamar Middle School & McCallum High School.  I attended the University of Texas - Go Horns!! I have worked in education in some capacity for the last 33 years; 12 years in Manor ISD, 12 years in Eanes ISD, 6 years in Round Rock ISD and 3 years in AISD.  My educator certifications include: Special Education PK-12, Counselor PK-12, and Principal EC-12.  My passion is ensuring each student feels safe, comfortable and successful at school. I value the partnership with classroom teachers, support staff and parents as we all work together to ensure every child has a bright future.  I am thrilled for the opportunity to encourage and support the students, parents and staff of Bryker Woods Elementary!   

  Hello, Bryker Woods community! I am very happy and honored to work alongside Ms. Dainton to serve Bryker Woods students and families as your school counselor.  I have 35 years experience as an educator; about ½ of that time as classroom teacher and school counselor.  Most recently, I worked as school counselor at Maplewood Elementary, in the Cherrywood neighborhood, for the past 24 years. This is also my home community, where my husband, Mickey, and I raised our two daughters, Chloe (22yrs) and Gabi (25yrs). I am passionate about amplifying student voices, and helping students hone their self awareness, regulation, and restorative skill sets. I truly believe that humans who value and continue this work will lead more meaningful lives, abundant with strong relationships, and the skills to navigate life’s inevitable peaks and valleys.  I can’t wait to get to know you all!
