This house is an example of the kind of images I added to my Dream House inspiration board on Pinterest, which gave me the idea for a balance of a dark, mountainous kind of home with a modern style.

We were asked to picture what our dream room would be, what would it look like, and what elements would be inside of it. I chose to do a bathroom for my personal project.

The picture above is one from my Pinterest board I found while planning what kind of size and style I was looking for in my Dream Bathroom. I ended up using the tile/brick type of style for my walls, and spaced the shower and tub I had in my room in a similar fashion. Below is extra planning I had done on OneNote to figure out specific dimensions of my model compared to what the real room would look like

Above is an inspirational image I found while researching for my Dream Kitchen ideas for my board in Pinterest. I decided that I wanted to continue my favoritism toward contemporary/modern designs in my elements of a house, and this image really inspired me to want to have my kitchen by a U-shaped design with an island in the middle

For this assignment, we had to research and come up with some kind of Iconic building to be placed in a city, with the building needing to be designed in a creative and unique way, and to be constructed on a smaller scale using wooden sticks and glue

For the Balsa Building Project, I had done a lot of research on Pinterest involving very iconic or unique buildings that stand out. I noticed these two images above and immediately added them to my board, as I saw there was a simplistic design using triangles and smaller triangles in the top image, and the use of repeating shapes in the second one. Both elements are shown in my building

These are some images I found on Pinterest that gave me some inspiration for my bridge. I combined the truss designs of the walls from the first two bridges (and put my own twist as well) and I took the arch shapes of the third bridge and combined it with the truss bridge style to make my version of a Pennsylvania Petit Truss bridge.

The second stage of this assignment was to take what we had researched and come up with for our personalized bridge, sketch a side and bird's eye view of our bridge as a large draft, and make a model using dried pasta that is to be tested for strength, using weights, along with overall design and practicality. (Inspiration and sketchbook work located above.)

For this assignment, we were to listen to structural engineer Ian Firth's opinions on the appearance and functionality of bridges and what the appearances of bridges can tell about the people who made them and where desgins can go from there.

Using Revit architectural templates, we created outdoor sheds to our own style and liking, which revolved around a modern style and sort of office or studio style for the inside of my shed. We then placed a front, side, and a two-point elevation, along with an image of the floor plan, onto architectural sheets, as seen below.

Using Revit once again, we were asked to create a compact dwelling, or a miniature home, in which we had to include specific elements and stay within 800 sqaure feet of space. I looked to make it more of a modern style, incuding 2 bedrooms, 1 bath, a living room, kitchen, and dining area. We then placed the front and side elevation, along with an inside elevation of the living room area on architectural sheets, as seen below.
Using Revit once again, we were asked to create a compact dwelling, or a miniature home, in which we had to include specific elements and stay within 800 sqaure feet of space. The two images above are some examples of the inspiration I found on Pinterest. These two images, along with others, inspired my want to further the use of moden/contemporary styles inside my projects, and due to the use of space and the using of simple shapes to make something far more elaborate, I decided to also micmick the shape of the houses above, using a square/rectangular shape in my personal compact dwelling. While my style was not exactly like the ones above, it was very similar, just not as modern, simply due to limitations on Revit programming experience. Using lots of windows was another element I decided would be interesting in my compact dwelling, and I also made my roof a slant (rather than a flat top) to add some character to my miniature home.
