Team Policies
· Be on time to practice. Practice starts at 2:45. All players are expected to be fully dressed out and be ready to go at 2:30. At 2:30 players should start to warm up and be ready to go by 2:45. If you will have to miss practice or be late you need to communicate this with the coaches.
· Commit to being at practice the day before a game. If you cannot make practice the day before a game you may not be eligible to start and playing time may be affected. If you miss practice the day before a game you will have missed important information you need to be effective in the game.
· RESPECT. All players will always respect their teammates, coaches, refs, opponents, themselves, and any other staff. Failure to respect ourselves and others will at a minimum impact starting and playing time and ultimately could lead dismissal from the team.
· Proper sideline etiquette. All fans are asked to not address the refs or the other team. All comments from the sideline must be positive.
· 100% of the coaching must come from the coaching staff.
· 24 Hour Rule. If a player/and or parents would like to talk about playing time or other game related issues we are not available for these conversations 24 hours before or after a game. Any other time we would be more than happy to talk. This is to let emotions dissipate and let clearer heads prevail.
· 100% effort. Come to practice/games ready to put in the work, the rest is up to us. Hard work and winning are habits.
· Professionalism. Treat gear and equipment with respect. Bags and gear need to be lined up neatly before the start of practice.
· Proper nutrition and hydration. Make sure you are eating and drinking to fuel your body correctly.
· Student athlete. Student comes first. Academics will always come first so it is imperative that you keep your grades up. You are expected to use good time management skills so that players are only missing practices and games due to unforeseen obstacles. Needing to start and finish a paper the night before it is due, when you have known about it for months, is not an excuse.
· Communicate. Life happens, but communication is key. All communication needs to come from you, the player. This is to build responsibility and accountability. Please do not communicate past 9pm.
