This new event will take the form of a militant fair, resolutely focused on showcasing contemporary ceramics, with an intense agenda that includes visits and exhibitions, a series ofconferences and the publication of an annual review. ceramic brussels will emphasize the experience and encounter of content, while at the same time creating an international market and networking platform. The fair will demonstrate its commitment to continually questioning its format and to promoting and bringing together all actors in the world of contemporary ceramic art.Over the past few years, ceramic has enjoyed a remarkable comeback, grabbing thelimelight on the contemporary arts stage.Supported by a string of pioneering artists who have gradually and largely contributed to itsrevival (Johan Creten, Miquel Barcel, Grayson Perry, Klara Kristalova, Carolein Smit andAnne Wenzel), ceramics has been given a new lease of life. As such, it is crossing over intothe practices of contemporary artists, opening the field to new experiments and beingshowcased by contemporary art galleries.Ubiquitous in artists' studios, in international centers and museums, ceramics is in aconstant state of (r)evolution, subject to multiple influences and practices, possessed by theZeitgeist and driven by a varied and high-quality scene.

It Takes a City presents the next generation of Brussels performing artists at a new festival. Four Dutch-speaking and four French-speaking organisations are coming together to showcase new and young talent across linguistic, cultural and regional boundaries.The new biennial festival, in which Atelier 210, La Balsamine, Beursschouwburg, Charleroi danse / La Raffinerie, Les Halles de Schaerbeek, Kaaitheater, Kunstenwerkplaats and workspacebrussels join forces, presents new Brussels performance talent. It Takes a City is supported by Vlaamse Gemeenschap, Vlaamse Gemeenschapscommissie, Fdration Wallonie-Bruxelles, Wallonie-Bruxelles Internationale, Wallonie-Bruxelles Thatre Danse, the City of Bruxelles, COCOF, Brussels Capital Region, HUB & Kunstenpunt.

In a 10-inch ovenproof skillet, cook the bacon over moderately high heat, stirring occasionally, until darker in color and almost fully crisp, 5 minutes. Add the shallots and cook, stirring occasionally, until softened, about 3 minutes. Add the brussels sprouts, season with salt and pepper and cook, tossing occasionally, until crisp-tender and lightly browned, about 5 minutes.

My wife has never liked brussels sprouts and when we have them, it is up to me to cook them. Tried this recipe which is pretty simple and straight forward. She liked them but I still will have to cook them in the future!!

I recommend cooking all the components, and then storing them separately in the fridge. So for example, store the brussels sprouts in an airtight container, store the chickpea crumbles in a different container, and store the dressing in a jar on its own.
