At BrushBuddy, developed by almo soft, we are committed to protecting the privacy of our users, especially children. This Privacy Policy explains how we handle information within the BrushBuddy mobile application.
1. Children’s Privacy (COPPA Compliance)
BrushBuddy is designed for use by children with the guidance of their parents or guardians.
We do not knowingly collect any personally identifiable information (PII) from children.
All personal data, such as a child’s name or profile photo, is stored locally on your device only and is never transmitted to our servers.
2. Information We Collect Locally
To provide the app's features, the following information is stored on your device:
Child Profiles: Name, avatar selection, and optional profile/background images.
Brushing Progress: A log of dates and times when brushing sessions were completed.
Settings: Your preferred notification times and sound settings.
This data stays on your device. If you uninstall the app, this data is deleted.
3. Third-Party Services (Advertising)
BrushBuddy uses Google AdMob to display advertisements. To comply with the Google Play Families Policy and COPPA:
We have configured AdMob to serve non-personalized ads only.
We have set the ad content rating to "G" (General Audience).
We have tagged the app as "Child-Directed" to ensure that no behavioral tracking or remarketing occurs.
4. Permissions Used
Notifications: To send reminders to brush teeth at scheduled times.
Exact Alarms: To ensure reminders are delivered precisely at the times you set.
Storage/Media: Only used to let you select a profile or background image from your device.
5. Data Security
Because we do not use cloud servers to store your child’s profile or brushing history, your data is as secure as your physical device. We recommend using device-level security (passcodes/biometrics) to protect your information.
6. Changes to This Policy
We may update our Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new Privacy Policy on this page and updating the "Effective Date."
