This book is targeted at first-time farm owners and those already farming who feel they have been in the "wilderness" for far too long in relation to farm establishment and early growth. The book brings out some juicy titbits that characterize farm establishment, survival, and early growth with a view to ensuring that the transitions across these early stages of a farming enterprise are done in a much shorter period with fewer and less costly mistakes.
As a practicing farmer, I have endeavored to ensure the perspectives contained herein are written from a realistic and not from an utopian nor an idealistic perspective. I can guarantee you that this book has been sanitized from any form of motivational talk!!
The focus on developing countries is deliberate given some of the unique nuances related to developing countries in terms of access to capital, labour, land issues as well as some entrepreneurial acumen.

On the 1st of April 2023, I had the pleasure of hosting the U.S. Vice President Kamala Devi Harris at Panuka Farm. She was at the farm for a straight 2 hours which was certainly a lion's share of her visit to Zambia. An account of this historic visit can be watched on our YouTube channel using the link below
On the 28th of June 2022, we had the honour and privilege to welcome and host the World Bank Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer Ms. Anshula Kant and her delegation at Panuka Farm. An account of this high profile visit can be watched here :
