This survey aims to identify and understand students' well-being by assessing their socio-economic background, sense of belonging, and socio-emotional learning (SEL) and exploring how these factors influence their learning outcomes.
The survey will be administered by officers and research assistants from the Jabatan Perancangan, Perkembangan dan Penyelidikan (JPPP) with support from focal teachers and ICT teachers or technicians at the schools.
The JPPP team will visit selected government schools to conduct the survey.
The Student Questionnaire will be conducted in the school's computer lab using laptops and/or desktop computers provided by the school.
It will be Online Survey using Lime Survey Platform.
The survey will run from 13th January 2025 to 28th February 2025 for selected government schools.
After the SLS Assessment at each school is completed, a separate schedule will be arranged with the focal teacher. Schools will be directly contacted by JPPP/DPDR with detailed instructions.
It is compulsory for the students to enter their passcode before answering the Student Questionnaire.
Primary Schools: All Year 6 students from selected government primary schools.
Secondary Schools: All Year 8 and Year 10 students from selected government secondary schools.
The Student Questionnaire will start on 13th January 2025 for selected government schools. Schools will be directly contacted by JPPP team for the confirmation of the date.
Students enrolled in Individual Education Programmes (IEP), Special Applied Programmes (SAP), and BTEC programmes are not required to participate in the survey. Even if these students are registered and given passcodes, they are excluded from completing the Student Questionnaire.
Teachers (Focal/ICT) can assist students in accessing and navigating the platform. However, they must not influence students' responses while they are completing the survey.
