Literally obsessed with this place and am so sad that I didn't know about it sooner! I popped in for something on my way to the bus terminal to head to Medellín but wish I had discovered it earlier in my stay. They do vegan and veggie packed lunches for hikes/long buses, I got a sarnie, brownie, curry pot, crackers and water for not a lot of money. The guys working there were so polite and helpful, I wasn't sure if I had time to get breakfast as well as grab the lunch so they advised me on what would be the quickest food to prepare etc which was nice. I ended up just getting a vegan milkshake, which was also insanely tasty but so so thick. They were honest too, advising on portion sizes and telling me when it would be way too much food, etc. Would definitely recommend this spot!

We loved this place so much we ate here twice. HUGE portions, tonnes of vegan and veggie options, and most importantly for me, gluten free bread and lots of knowledge about this too! Bathrooms were lovely and clean, coffee was tasty, hot sauce was spicy and the wifi fast. You won’t regret coming here!

Super breakfast / brunch with a lot of options. It was very fast and the staff friendly. Had the pancakes with egg and orange juice & fruit bowl which was very big. Close to the bus terminal so ideal before a travel day.

Excellent food and incredibly friendly and hospitable staff, who will take the time to give you an overview of the different activities and hiking routes around Salento (they have maps painted on their walls and use a laser pointer to talk you through it!). If you’re planning on doing day hikes they also sell lunch packs for 20K to save you the hassle of packing your own lunch!

Perfect way to start the day. Huge portions of fresh fruit, with delicious coffee. All wrapped up in a gloriously relaxing atmosphere. The chaps working in there were super keen to explain the area too. So good!

A very cute place. The staff is friendly and speaks perfect english. They pack you cute little lunch boxes for hikes which is a great idea if you hike in cocora valley all day. I did not like the Sandwich too much but everything else was delicious.

One of the nicest experiences we have had at a cafe in our 3 months of travelling! The staff are friendly, kind and helpful. The food and coffee is delicious 😋 We visited every day we were in Salento, as well as taking their packed lunches with us to Cocora Valley! Such good quality and great value for money. Keep doing what you're doing guys 🙌

I love their packed lunch! I took it with me on my hike to Cocora Valley. Staff is friendly and some of them speak very good English. They have many different options for breakfast/lunch and easy to modify for vegan or smaller/bigger portions. It's a bit more international and not necessarily the coziest place to sit, but perfect if you're craving some specific food :)

Spacious cafe with nice decor and very decent modern menu with plenty to chose from. Our burger and fish & chips were excellent, portions were really big. They have their house made sauces and ketchup, both are very tasty. For those who go on long treks, here they offer packed lunch.

Best restaurant I visited in Salento. The food was very generous and delicious, the staff were a 10/10. They speak English and are able to give tourist any advice regarding what to do and logistics! Amazing place!

Leaving this review specifically to alert all vegans that there is a large vegan ice cream menu here AND this incredible vegan gluten free (gf) peanut butter brownie. Several vegan options on the menu that were decent but the brownie really stole the show. It’s not very photogenic but wow it is delicious!!

Great staff - speak both Spanish and English.

They can help with tours and trips.

La comida deliciosa! Es una lástima que no vayan muchos colombianos a esta joyita de lugar. De un plato comen dos, son muy generosos con la comida, la atención maravillosa y rápida. Volvería sin duda ❤️❤️recomiendo el Sandwich Montecristo, una maravilla.

Incredible service, the staff really went above and beyond here. Wonderful menu of brunch favorites and fantastic coffees the region is famous for. Ricardo and Brian made me feel like family while I was there, even going so far as to have my packed lunch prepared at 7am the next day an hour before they opened. The message from Papa Brunch in my pack is the reason I travel, I love it! Great views and upstairs area to enjoy the view of Salento and its surroundings. I'd give them 6 stars if I could, it's experiences like these that have made me fall in love with Colombia!

We got the packed lunch before heading to Cocora Valley. It's one of the best packed lunches I've ever got - so much food! Excellent value for $20,000. Nice thick bread in the sandwich and the brownie is divine! The whole lunch is very well thought through, including napkins, mayo sachet for sandwich, spreader for the peanut butter and a cute little note ❤️ Would highly recommend!!

Wow! As a gluten-free vegan in Colombia I have been longing for a restaurant like this: real gluten free option for burgers, burritos, breakfast and soooooo many Vegan/Vegetarian option. They have soy, almond or coconut milk, they know how to substitute gluten with proper non-gluten option! Amazing!

The service is super nice! They even ask you if you don't like certain fruits (like papaya) so that they will not put it in xour food - i just loved how forthcoming they were here!

By the way- the portions are HUGE! So make sure you are hungry!

Great place to start or finish your hike! They provide extensive information in English on the local trails and attractions. There is also a small store with hiking supplies. The best is the packed lunch: yummie sandwich, granola, crackers, chewing gum, a drink, banana, and the best peanut brownie ever! We ate here several times and would definitely recommend pizza, nachos, and shakes. Dine-in menu and packed lunch both include vegan options. Very friendly owners and staff speaking great English.

Very friendly service, waiter told us the portions were big when we sat down and he was not wrong. The prices are relatively cheap, especially given the portion sizes. Delicious food and good coffees too!!

Fantastic place for food and community. It’s both Colombian and American owned I believe, which reflects in the menu items which are reminiscent of a diner! The owners are so nice and have a whole hiking/outdoor shop for backpackers who may not have the necessary gear. They also offer packed lunches for Valle de Cocora. I had the brunch potatoes here - GET THEM! They were filling and soooo delicious. They also have WiFi and lots of space, and didn’t mind if I worked a bit on my laptop.

Absolutely enormous servings sizes, lots of ppl taking away leftovers in boxes. Enjoyed the meals. Bit confusing that the menu states sales tax is not included and will be added at the end. This is not typical in Colombia. Thanks!

We stumbled upon this place right after we arrived in Salento on the walk from the bus station. We were greeted by Jorge who was very friendly, spoke excellent English, and gave us a bunch of tips for things to do in the area. We returned 2 more times, including when we had to wait for our bus to Pereira. It’s so nice to have a cozy place to hang out, drink coffee, and feel very welcome by the staff. The kindness of the staff is enough reason to support this business, but the food is also quite good and the portions are big, so we would absolutely recommend stopping by if you’re in Salento.

Great backpacker style, giant portion, greasy hangover food. Breakfast burritos, famous potatoes, and lots of other choices. You can write on the walls, and read what other people have written as you chow. Coffee was better than expected. Again, giant portions and a chill vibe.

Edit: came here for dinner a couple days later, whoa. They make some tasty burgers, and the fries were possibly the best I’ve had in 7 months of Latin America. Double fried and crispy, and the Belgium I’m satin approved (Belgians invented fries btw). The portions are huge and we actually split a burger and were still stuffed. I got the peanut butter brownie milkshake, super thick, creamy, peanut buttery goodness with chunks of brownie. The milkshake was way too much, but it was damn delicious.

This is a great spot for some elevated US diner style food. I’d highly recommend splitting dishes unless you want extras for the next day (which we did and was great).
